TallyLens Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TallyLens (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, processes, and protects your information across the TallyLens Android Mobile Application and TallyLens Cloud Hub.
On-Device Edge Camera Processing Notice
TallyLens utilizes your device's camera strictly for real-time edge optical counting and SKU classification. Video frames captured by the camera sensor are analyzed in volatile device RAM via hardware-accelerated neural delegates (NNAPI / GPU). No raw video footage, photos, or facial biometric data are recorded, stored, or streamed to external servers. Only numeric classification tallies (e.g., “Item X: 17 pcs”) are transmitted when an operator explicitly confirms a count.
Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to authenticate operators and record verified warehouse count transactions:
- Account & Profile Identifiers: Name, work email address, company organization name, operating facility/warehouse code, and enterprise role (e.g., Manager, Operator) provisioned via Firebase Authentication.
- Inventory Session Telemetry: Timestamp, movement direction (Stock In / Stock Out), SKU count aggregates, class detection confidence averages, pallet/lot tracking identifiers, and operator notes submitted during counting.
- Edge Device Diagnostics: Device manufacturer and model (e.g., Zebra TC58, Samsung Galaxy), Android OS version, neural inference delegate used (NNAPI, GPU, CPU), and average frame latency (ms) for performance monitoring and model optimization.
- Offline Queued Data: In low-connectivity warehouse environments, count sessions are cached locally in protected app sandboxed storage until an internet connection is re-established.
How We Use Your Information
We process collected data exclusively for enterprise operational objectives:
Inventory Synchronization
Ingesting confirmed inbound and outbound count sessions into enterprise WMS/ERP databases and the TallyLens Hub dashboard.
OTA Model Distribution
Distributing optimized, quantized edge neural network weights (INT8) tailored to your organization's product catalog.
Audit Trail & Verification
Providing immutable timestamps, lot numbers, and operator attribution for warehouse compliance and discrepancy resolution.
System Health & Security
Monitoring edge inference latency, diagnosing hardware faults, and preventing unauthorized access across corporate facilities.
Data Protection & Security Standards
We employ military-grade security safeguards to defend enterprise inventory telemetry:
- Encryption in Transit: All communications between the Android mobile client and Cloud Hub APIs require TLS 1.3 encryption with strict certificate verification.
- Encryption at Rest: Cloud databases, audit logs, and offline queues utilize AES-256 disk encryption.
- Tenant Data Isolation: Every enterprise tenant organization is cryptographically partitioned to prevent cross-tenant data leakage.
- No Sale of Personal Data: We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade operator identities or enterprise inventory data to third parties or advertising networks.
User Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)
Regardless of your geographic location, TallyLens grants all registered operators and enterprise users full statutory privacy rights:
Account Deletion & Data Purge Procedure
In compliance with Google Play Developer Policy and global privacy regulations, operators can initiate account deletion directly from the mobile app or online:
- In the Android App: Navigate to Settings → Legal & Compliance → Request Account Deletion.
- Or submit directly through our web portal: TallyLens Account Deletion Portal.
- Alternatively, email our Data Protection Officer at privacy@tallylens.ai with your registered email.
Upon verification, all account credentials, OAuth tokens, and operator profile records will be permanently purged within thirty (30) days.
Google Play Developer Program Compliance
This application strictly adheres to Google Play's Sensitive Permissions and User Data policies:
- Prominent Disclosure: An in-app rationale modal appears prior to requesting the Android
android.permission.CAMERApermission, explicitly detailing the counting purpose. - No Background Camera Access: The camera subsystem is terminated immediately whenever the app is backgrounded, minimized, or when the operator navigates to another screen.
- Vibration Permission: The
android.permission.VIBRATEpermission is utilized solely for optional operator tactile haptic clicks during counting and can be toggled off at any time in Settings.
